Memories Faded But Not Forgotten

                        Slightly faded but ever true
Dad we all still think of you
The way you laughed at little things
The happiness your smile would bring
                        It seems like only yesterday
The good Lord decided to take you away
I look at the calendar and what is it I see?
I see fifteen years filled with your memory
Mom is back with you, safe from all Earthly harms
We are happy for you that she's back in your arms
We'll be together again, some time down the road
When we're all reunited with your heart of gold
I remember when weekends were hockey and beer
And when the Habs scored we'd all hear you cheer
A bench has been placed at the war monument
So people can sit when they need to rest for a bit
We've never forgotten you, as you can see
You'll always be with us in sweet memory

Love always Dad from your daughter-in-law Deborah
on the 15th anniversary of his passing May 14 2000
